Environmental Policy

Grand Designs Landscaping is committed to protecting the environment and will continue to undertake our work activities in a manner that considers our environmental impact.

Grand Designs Landscaping and our workers are responsible for the environment and will continue to reduce our environmental impact where practicable, without compromising the quality of our service.

Grand Designs Landscaping and our employees will:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental policies, legislation and regulations.
• Systematically identify and control all environmental hazards and risks.
• Ensure our Health and Safety Management System interfaces with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Follow all Grand Designs Landscaping environmental policies where applicable.
• Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure environmental considerations are followed.
• Provide and maintain safe operating plant, machinery, equipment and tools to minimise any environmental impact.
• Store all substances safely, label them correctly, and follow the correct procedures for their use — ensuring harmful substances never reach the storm water system.
• Ensure all environmental incidents are reported, recorded, and that corrective action points are implemented.
• Encourage continuous improvement in environmental performance through measurable objectives, and seek continual improvement on potentially harmful practices.
• Correctly use, maintain and dispose of any personal protective equipment required. Minimise waste and actively promote reuse, alternate product use, and recycling of suitable materials where practicable.
• Promote the purchase of environmentally sustainable materials and products.
• Maintain effective and timely communication on environmental issues with all required persons.
• Question or cease any work practices that are harmful, or potentially harmful, to the environment.

This policy applies to all Grand Designs Landscaping work environments and operations, including situations where our workers are required to work offsite at a client's property.
